About Skokolo: founder, content and pilot

Skokolo began with a parent's everyday question: how do we make a little room for movement together at home? We are building a short adventure with recorded plush-character voices and a story after the session.

Why Skokolo exists

The idea began with a dad and his daughter exercising at home. Roman Barzyczak built the app so character voices could guide each step while a parent stayed nearby. Skokolo has been in development since October 2026.

Meet the founder: Roman Barzyczak. His role covers product development and responsibility for publishing its content. Experience in one household does not establish that a programme works for other families.

How content is prepared and what checking means

We create character voices with ElevenLabs, and illustrations and first text drafts with AI assistance. Roman is responsible for developing and publishing Skokolo. Product descriptions draw on the app, its settings and technical tests; information about movement includes sources and their scope.

Our guides separate general WHO (2020) and NHS (2024) recommendations from editorial ideas for play and daily routines. We give the date sources were checked. Substantial content changes receive an updated date.

Editorial checks and app testing are not a specialist assessment of exercises. We do not currently publish a named trainer or physiotherapist review of this programme. General sources do not establish the safety or effectiveness of the particular Skokolo programme. The app does not replace individual professional advice.

On 2 November 2026, we added session-length and weekly-goal choices to the pilot. The aim is to let parents fit the plan around their day; these settings are not individual exercise prescriptions.

A parent chooses a 10- or 15-minute setting and a goal of 3 or 4 days a week. Plush characters guide floor movement with recorded voices. A session can be paused, and a story episode unlocks after it ends. A parent stays nearby.

Watch the app demo. This demonstrates product behaviour; it is not a study with children. The app timer includes instructions and breaks, so it does not measure time spent at a particular exercise intensity.

The browser-based pilot has Polish narration and needs no bar or exercise equipment. English pages describe the same Polish-language pilot.

What the pilot aims to learn

The free pilot lasts 8 weeks and is for families with children aged 6–9 in Poland. Signing up joins an interest list; access requires a separate invitation. No card is required.

We aim to learn whether families open the app, return to it, complete sessions and understand the instructions. Completing a session describes product use, not improved health, fitness or concentration. We do not currently have published findings from a study of Skokolo effectiveness.

If we publish a summary, it will state the observation period, sample size, activity definitions and limitations. Family feedback will be shared only with consent and without exposing children’s personal data.
